Moving to high school is one of the key milestones of a child’s life. In Term 3 of 2023 we conducted a survey for Year 6 students for the purpose of understanding their thoughts and emotions about this transition. Discovering the voice of the students at three of our partner schools has been a powerful revelation. These valuable perspectives will steer the development of a targeted transition program within our KidsXpress School Partnership initiative.
As advocates for children’s holistic well-being, we are committed to enhancing the incredible existing efforts of schools in preparing Year 6 students for this significant shift. By harnessing these insights, we aim to craft a program that addresses their unique socio-emotional needs, fosters resilience, and ensures a smoother journey into high school. Together, we strive to empower our young minds with the tools and support needed to navigate this critical transition with confidence and positivity.
