We’ve been screaming out, ‘what else can we do for our students’ and this is the ‘what else’ we can do. This partnership with KidsXpress.
Michelle Drage, former Principal of Braddock Public School – A KidsXpress partner school. How we can help
Much is expected of teachers to provide social and emotional support to their students on top of an already crowded curriculum, however teachers are not mental health professionals, and they are not formally trained to recognise the impact of trauma on brain development, behaviour and mental health.
58% of teachers do not feel well equipped to respond to mental health issues in their students*
The KidsXpress School Partnership Program requires a 3 year commitment from the school and has been designed to support schools with a student population that may have experienced a high number of adverse childhood experiences.
If you think your school can benefit from our program, please contact us to submit an EOI.
